I'm finally back into the swing of making this pack, and this update is by far the largest so far. We're introducing over fifteen new items, including two blocks and a spawn egg for a long-requested mob for vanilla Minecraft. And I say "we" because I'm finally not working all alone; by the graciousness of the stars, I have managed to reassemble the Boogieboyes after nearly three years. A new era of Boiaaangisms is upon us, and this is only the beginning.
Arm yourself with knowledge
I'd also like to introduce the MEGABREAD Wiki, a new possible source of information for MEGABREAD in its entirety; from the story of its creation to every known use of every existing item in the pack. Metal & Magic was intended to expand the lore of MEGABREAD and beyond in an effective way, but also to improve the scope of the pack, we've tried to make it more accessible as well. This wiki should hopefully aid in that accessibility so that you don't have to look through the vague information given by this site for answers.
That being said, here's the patch notes:
Fixes & Changes
Milk Chocolate is now crafted with 8 Cocoa Beans and one Milk Bucket , yielding nine items (up from three) to make it less inconvenient to craft. Dark Chocolate is still 3 beans for 3 items per recipe.
Finally fixed the Cow Tools advancement; it will now only trigger when you obtain a Clamulet Necklace rather than whenever you pick up your first item.
The base item of the Corn Cube is now an Iron Nugget
Shulkers now have a chance of dropping two shells rather than just one.
Increased the probability that Zombies drop an Iron Ingot, (Baked) Potato, or Carrot
Iron Golems no longer drop Corn and Creepers no longer drop Garlic. Endermen still drop Onions because the End can be cruel without food.
Corn now has a chance to drop from Potato plants, Garlic has a chance to drop from Carrot plants, and Onions have a chance to drop from Beetroot plants.
MEGABREAD now give the consumer Strength II for 30 seconds when eaten
Glow Berry Pies give the consumer the Glowing effect for 5 seconds when eaten
The textures of Chocolate Bars (Dark and Milk) have been updated, as well as the texture for Popped Nether Wart.
The texture of the Heavy Meal no longer has the enchantment glint
Sugar Cubes are now given in groups of four when crafted
The Ender Dragon now drops a Dragon Head and has a 50% chance of dropping a Dragon Egg when killed.
Skeletons have the same drop frequency and requirements for Skeleton Skulls as Wither Skeletons already did for their skulls.
New Additions
Red Arrows are a new weapon sometimes dropped by Skeletons. They fly straight up into the air, about five blocks, and fall straight back down, doing massive damage.
Explosions in a Bottle are occasionally dropped by Creepers, and can be used to unleash a small explosion that does high damage but has a small explosion radius.
Deepslate Coal Ore has been repurposed as Sobstone Ore, obviously dropping Sobstones when broken. They have the same drop patterns as Coal Ore does, only, you know, Sobstones instead.
Deepslate Emerald Ore has been repurposed as Ore of the Stars, which has a low (and never 100%) probability of dropping a single Nether Star.
Slimeballs can be cooked in a Smoker to give Fried Slime, which can be eaten.
Crafting the two 1.16 Nether mushrooms with a bowl now gives Mushroom Stew II, which looks different but behaves the same as regular Mushroom Stew.
Brongdite Ingots can be crafted from two Sobstones and two Copper Ingots. This new metal is used to craft the Buster Sword, Dealmaker, and...
Devilsknife, the weapon of Jevil from Deltarune, is now obtainable. Functionality for this weapon is planned for the future, but for now it can be used as an unbreakable Hoe.
Ender Dragons will now always drop two Dragon Wings, which can either be crafted with five Phantom Membranes to create an Elytra, or cooked in a Smoker to give Fried Dragon Wings, a new food item that grants several beneficial effects.
Magenta and Cyan Glazed Terracotta have been repurposed as Bread and Toast Blocks, respectively. Bread Blocks can be (un)crafted from a 2x2 of Bread, and Toast Blocks can be crafted from a 2x2 of Bread Blocks.
I finally caved into the requests for "big bread" and added the new Gigabread structure, which can be found relatively commonly anywhere in the world at surface level. Gigabread is comprised entirely of Bread and Toast Blocks, which could be a big source of food for anyone who finds one.
Bundles are now craftable from five Rabbit Hide and a string, or three Leather and a string. They function exactly as they do without MEGABREAD enabled, broken or not.
Risen from the very bottom of the Minecraft universe is the Giant mob, who is finally able to be spawned in Survival; a mob so evil and legendary I need to make another section for it below
The track played when Disc 11 is put into a Jukebox has been changed.
Evil Rises
Giants can be spawned using a Giant Spawn Egg, which can be crafted from a Mysterious Eye dropped by Zombies, an Egg, and a Wither Rose.
As Giants do not have AI in Minecraft, and I don't know how to edit mob AI in a datapack, the Giant boss fight is a little bit different from the others in the game so far.
Giants spawn alongside four Psionic Warriors and the Giant's Void. The Psionic Warriors aid the Giant by attacking any players on the ground while the Giant flies up over a hundred blocks into the air and slowly floats back down. Psionic Warriors A, B, and Y are Zombies with axes that will pursue the player, while Psionic Warrior X is a Skeleton that will prevent any players from simply going up a few blocks off the ground. Why would you do that? Well...
The Giant's Void is a large, dangerous cloud of poisonous gas that will do high amounts of damage and other negative effects to any mortal who dares stand inside it. It appears on the same level that the other mobs are spawned on and lasts for five minutes regardless of whether the monsters are defeated or not, so moving around the area of effect is very difficult.
The Giant drops a Loot Crate when defeated along with anywhere from 2 to 150 pieces of Rotten Flesh. Loot Crates contain a variety of valuable items, including Bootshoe and others that aren't as cool but are still pretty good.
Mysterious Eyes dropped by Zombies will both look very familiar to you and do similar effects on one's body to the Giant's Void when smashed against the ground.
Everybody loves my advancement coding skills
Several new advancements have been added in this version of MEGABREAD.
Chaos, Chaos is reached by obtaining the Devilsknife
[SALE$] is reached by obtaining the Dealmaker
Big Bread is reached by breaking into a Gigabread
Evil Rises is reached by starting the Giant boss fight
Evil Falls is reached by slaying the Giant
Brain Damage, a hidden advancement, is hypothetically reached by killing all four Psionic Warriors with one arrow, but it may be broken at the moment.
There is one more hidden advancement reached by eating one of the new food items.

These packs are intended for Minecraft Java 1.18.2. They will be updated on this page to add support for Java 1.19 shortly after its release, and although most of the datapack works in 1.19 Pre-Release 3, the most recent snapshot version as of writing this, the world will refuse to load unless you enable it after the world's creation. You can do this using the /datapack enable command and selecting the MEGABREAD 2.3 option, which requires admin command access. The reason for the pack not loading properly upon world creation is currently unknown, but I believe it has something to do with structure generation being an experimental feature not entirely supported with the snapshot versions. Therefore, Gigabread will not generate in the 1.19 snapshots and you will be granted the Big Bread advancement immediately upon loading the world. That being said...
